The M1-ICU was the first FLIR display designed for ground vehicle Fire and Control display systems. The M1-ICU Gunner’s Display was integrated into the Hughes Aircraft Company Thermal Imaging System.

This 1st generation thermal display offers extreme performance and reliability. Since completion of this design effort, Palomar has produced over 13,000 production displays for the U.S. Army and foreign customers.

The CRT design incorporates non-fiber optic CRT technology with dynamic focus for optimal focus in the corners of the CRT. This display program launched Palomar as a leader in ground vehicle FLIR displays. It provided Palomar with the technical capability to integrate CRT based display systems into the highest performing FLIR sensors. Palomar capitalizes on this legacy design integration to incorporate these features and high performing designs in today’s LAV vehicle market.
